Nasya Ayurveda Treatment in Rajouri Garden by Ayurvedic Medicine

Arogya Nidhi is an established and a key provider of effective Ayurvedic solutions for pain management, stress management, pediatric solutions, lifestyle management. etc. We believe that Ayurveda is a sacred medicinal system in India that provides numerous treatments. One such treatment in Ayurveda is Nasya Therapy.

What is Nasya?

Nasya is a part of the Panchakarma treatment involving the administration of therapeutic oil through nostrils. Nasal passage being the gateway of the head, the therapy cleanses, purifies and strengthens this passage to heal underlying conditions. It includes instillation of herbal oils, juices or powders through the nasal route where the central nervous system of a person’s body is cleansed through administering these beneficial oils. These oils are made at our clinic in the guidance of our practitioner and other senior Ayurvedic experts, based on the condition that has to be treated. It works specifically on disorders of ear, nose and throat. Nasya being one among the five Panchakarma therapies, it is especially desirable for diseases of parts above the base of the neck.

What are the requirements for Nasya?

The treatment of Nasya therapy at Arogya Nidhi is performed by putting oil in the nostrils of a patient lying on the back. It is applied preferably on an empty stomach. According to Ayurveda, it should be noted that Nasya is not performed during the rainy season. In the treatment, the patient is asked to lie down with his head tilted back. Thereafter, the nasal drops are dripped in both the nostrils. After the drops are administered, one is asked to sniff deeply to allow the Nasya drops to penetrate.

What are the steps involved?

Arogya Nidhi takes complete care and follows a step by step method throughout the process of performing Nasya therapy to patients. We begin by comfortably lying down the patients on their back and tilting their heads back so that the nostrils open towards the sky. Then, 3 to 5 drops of Nasya oil are dripped in each nostril drop by drop. The patients are asked to rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Later, the patient is given herbal decoction to drink, followed by herbal steam in the end.

Who can get Nasya done?

According to Ayurvedic tradition, our nose is the door to the brain and consciousness. With this conscience, Arogya Nidhi provides Nasya therapy to treat a variety of health concerns. Nasya proves to be highly beneficial for people suffering from Nasal polyps when combined with other Ayurvedic medicines. Apart from this, it also helps to cure dryness of nose and eyes and even helps in improvement of the skin.
